reservation and cancellation policy
A valid credit card number is needed to take a reservation. This is to hold and guarantee the room. NO BITCOINS, you hipsters!
The Baker is able to offer a 48 hour cancellation policy. If we are notified of the cancellation at least 48 hours before our standard check-in time, the guest may be refunded 50%.
Certain special rates are offered with cancellation, deposit, and refund policies that differ from those mentioned above (for example the 10% off, non-refundable rate).
Any deposit given for a wedding or event is non-refundable.
For reservations exceeding four days or in excess of $400 we reserve the right to require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total bill. The deposit will be applied to the final total amount of the reservation.
occupancy limits
Our house is beautifully restored and designed but there's no getting away from the fact that it's nearly 125 years old. It can't really sustain a bunch of people in a room. The occupancy limit for each guest room is 2 persons. Guests may be received on the first floor for a reasonable, limited time.
no smoking
The Baker is a non-smoking property. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Basically, keep it away from others who don’t smoke. There is a $250 room recovery fee for guests who do not comply with the no-smoking policy, in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.
children
We think kids are kind of necessary for the survival of our species. They are welcome at The Baker and we have pack-n-plays, cribs, car seats and strollers available upon request. We ask that our younger guests be respectful of our older guests … and vice-versa.
We charge all local and state taxes. We like not going to jail.

We don’t have keys so if you lose them you have bigger problems.

Pets are allowed in designated rooms only, and the animal policy is as follows:
Pets must be well socialized around people and other animals; all dogs must be on a monthly flea preventive.
Animals must be fully housebroken, and dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash at all times when outside of the guest room.
Dogs must be crated any time they are left unattended (crate not provided).
All pets must be up to date on immunizations.
You must clean up after your pet inside and outside, and dogs may not be leashed/attached to the outdoor furniture.
Pets are not allowed on interior furniture. We provide pet beds. If there is evidence that a pet was allowed in beds or on sofas a pet fee of $100 will be charged.
If your pet causes damage, you are fully responsible for cleaning fee, repair and/or replacement.
Preferably, only one pet per room, email us any specific requests for more.
Animals in a room not designated for such an accommodation will be charged a cleaning fee of $250.
